A supercharged Lotus Exige Cup 430

Along with Lotus Evora GT430, the Lotus Exige now also has has 430 hp, but this is another special edition. The most powerful Exige to date, the newest Lotus trim has a new supercharger and charge coolermade to give the extra oomph. Adding those parts to your current Lotus , of course, is possible to produce for similar power, but the boys from Hethel didn’t stop at the Exige Cup 430’s 3.5-liter V6 engine.

The Exige also manipulates the air underneath its body to get more grip

This Exige should stick to the track better at speed than previous iterations thanks to a massive wing mounted on the rear deck. The Exige also manipulates the air underneath its body to get  more grip.

Lightweight material choices — like carbon fiber and aluminum — pepper the Exige’s body panels and components. With a carbon-fiber roof, front access panel, diffuser surround and air-intake pods, the total weight is only 2,409 pounds unladen. With the extra horsepower, that means this Lotus sprints to 60 in only 3.2 seconds. It’ll run out of steam at 180 mph. It also gets a better clutch to help deal with the extra power, but you’re still left to row your own gears as the six-speed ‘box feeds power to the rear.

If you want one of these, you’ll have to shell out the princely sum of $131,234 (or £99,800 at current rates). There’s no U.S. pricing because it doesn’t look like it’ll see North American shores without some creative importing. Still, it would look great in your carriage house in Upton Snodsbury. That’s in Worcestershire, near North Piddle.
