Good news for those who have been patiently waiting for the new BMW 8 Series Coupe new luxury sports car. Soon enough, the 8 Series Coupe will be hitting the streets as a final model. Right now, BMW is already on the final stage of the series production development process for the 8 Series Coupe, and the carmaker will be offering an M-flavored model in the guise of the new BMW M850i xDrive Coupe.
Front and rear anti-roll bars feature electric swivel motors that compensate for lateral forces during hard maneuvers. They’re controlled through “a constant analysis of vehicle speed, lateral and longitudinal acceleration, steering wheel position, wheel and body acceleration and variation in height levels.”
On the tech front, expect the company’s CoPilot semi-autonomous features including active cruise control with stop and go, and steering and lane control assist on more expensive models. The Driving Assistant Professional package adds lane keeping assistant with active side collision protection and cross traffic detection with brake intervention.
Camera system allows for 360-degree views when parking
The BMW 8-Series, on the inside, will get a newly designed instrument panel and cluster . It will have the iDrive infotainment controller, “Driving Experience Control” switch for drive modes and a head-up display. It also gets new sport seats in leather, loads of storage space and folding rear seats. The 850 has a 12.3-inch screen in the center with a 10.25-inch control display behind the steering wheel. A camera system allows for 360-degree views when parking. The multimedia system comes with 20 GB of memory for your music collection.
BMW will announced pricing for the 2019 8-Series Coupe closer to launch this fall.
