Porsche takes stake in Electric Sports Car firm – Rimac

Porsche has invested in electric supercar manufacturer Rimac, taking a 10% stake in the Croatian EV manufacturer.

A very young company – Rimac was started working in his garage to produce an electric sports car in 2009. Rimac has quickly gained a reputation as a key player in the EV development market. 

In March 2018 Rimac unveiled the C Two, the next generation of its electric hypercar plans.

Producing around 2,000 hp, performance figures are highly impressive, and the official NEDC range is at more than 400 miles with ultra rapid charging capable at 250 kW. – nextgreencar.

Porsche will benefit from Rimac’s work on battery and electric powertrain development. While Rimac gains the support of an established manufacturer to assist in the company becoming an important component supplier.
