Starting outside, the 2019 Macan gets new head- and taillights. In back, there’s a three-dimensional LED strip that looks more modern like the current Panamera. The fronts get the four daytime running beams like the 911. Optionally, buyers can select Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus, the brand’s version of adaptive lights that aim around corners.In the cabin, the Macan now offers Porsche’s GT sports steering wheel. That’s the one with controls on each side for infotainment and nav, as well as the Sport Response Button that turns all settings to their most aggressive mode for 20 seconds. It’s part of the Sport Chrono Package.
The new Macan will also offer a heated windshield and an ionizer to improve air quality. Traffic Jam Assist is offered as well, which partially automates acceleration, braking and steering at speeds up to 37 mph. As for tech, the compact SUV comes with Porsche’s latest infotainment that splits duty between the central screen and the customizable gauge cluster.

The Macan was already one of the best small SUVs to fling around in traffic, but Porsche “fine-tuned” the chassis anyway. Porsche says it “delivers enhanced neutrality” while still maintaining comfort. It also keeps its staggered tire setup, with wider rubber in the rear on wheels measuring either 20 or 21 inches. All-wheel drive is standard, and the Porsche Traction Management system divvies up the power.
The Macan’s current engine lineup consists of a 252-hp turbo-four, a 340-hp or 360-hp twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 and a 440-hp 3.6-liter twin-turbo V6 for the Macan Turbo.
Price is still uknown, but the current model starts at about $49K and goes up to about $78,000.
