Porsche 911 GT3 RS lapped the Nurburgring in 6:56 minutes

Porsche 911 GT3 RS lapped Germany’s legendary test track last year, the Nurburgring, 911 GT2 RS — half a second that is faster than a Radical SR8LM. If you weren’t the lucky one, to grab brand’s new GT2 RS before it made it’s way home, zou have no other option.

The GT2 RS lapped Green Hell in less than 7 minutes

Less powerful 911 GT3 RS was running around the ‘Ring in only 6 minutes, 56 seconds. It had almost 200 hp less thanvb the GT2 RS lapped Green Hell in less than 7 minutes. If you’re wondering, yes, this is faster than the previous GT3 RS, by 24 seconds!

Powered by a 4.0-liter H6 that sends 520 hp through the PDK transmission and to the rear wheels. It’s good to go from a standing start to 62 mph in only 3.2 seconds — and keeps climbing until its 196-mph top speed.

The guy behind the wheel, Kevin Estre, normally races for Porsche in the World Endurance Championship, but he seemed fine with this normal-by-comparison 911.
