BYD won its largest order for electric buses in Colombia, and the second-largest fleet in Latin America.
The city of Medellín will get 64 BYD’s 12.5-meter K9G buses in August.
According to the press release, the buses will be capable of covering more than 300 km daily, with a capacity of 80 passengers. Fast charging is expected to take less than 2 hours a day. There will be charging points in different areas of the city to support their operations.
