The next Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 have been caught testing at the Nurburgring race track in Germany. So as the Cayman GT4 that is coming, this new repetition features a fixed rear spoiler and the similar front end styling and large air intakes on the side to cool the mid-mounted engine.

According to our spy photographers, the 718 Cayman GT4 will likely switch to a detuned 4.0-liter flat-six found in the facelifted 2018 911 GT3, and it could possibly make upwards of 400 hp. There’s also a possibility that a 718 Cayman GT4 RS could make an appearance as an even more potent version. As with the previous Cayman GT4 that is sold out, the next 718 Cayman GT4 will likely come exclusively with a six-speed manual transmission.

In addition to a new engine, the upcoming 718 Cayman GT4 could also receive an updated suspension that should help it handle better than its predecessor

In addition to a new engine, the upcoming 718 Cayman GT4 could also receive an updated suspension that should help it handle better than its predecessor. As is the case with most Porsches, there are few visual updates to spot since the refreshed 718 Cayman didn’t really receive any major exterior design tweaks. Expect the Cayman GT4 to return sometime late this year, and it could debut at one of the upcoming major auto shows. However, don’t count on the car becoming a mass production model as Porsche will likely keep it in limited numbers to make it more exclusive than the rest of the 718 Cayman lineup.
