Hope to be seen – Vauxhall Corsa EV next year

Vauxhall will offer a pure-electric Corsa from summer 2019. So we hope and a PHEV version of the Grandland X SUV will be join at the same time. As the company will have four electrified models on sale by the end of 2020.

Opel has made the announcements as part of planned model updates, and confirmed that by 2024, there will be electrified versions of every model available.

The push for plug-in models is possible mainly because of a new e-CMP platform, developed for the PSA Group. The group – which includes Peugeot, Citroen, and DS Automobiles – has pushed its electric plans forward.

Models such as the DS 3 Crossback E-Tense will share the same platform in pure-EV form.

To help the firm reach its CO2 requirements, slow-selling models such as the Adam, Viva, and Cascada will not be replaced. More than 120 passenger car models meet the new Euro 6d-Temp emissions requirements too, that come into force from September 2019.
