First-Ever 2019 Sierra AT4 (video showcase)
Somehow we missed to put a video material of new Sierra entering in the room.
Ahead of the New York Auto Show, GMC pulled the curtain off the latest addition to its new 2019 Sierra pickup line — the AT4. The alphanumeric name denotes Sierra’s off-road-ready package, which features a 2-inch suspension lift, a locking rear differential, skid plates and a set of off-road-tuned Rancho monotube shocks. The First-Ever 2019 Sierra AT4 comes standard with four-wheel-drive, by way of a two-speed transfer case, and a standard-issue 5.3-liter V8.
If you plan on actually taking one of these brand-new rigs off road, it does come standard with Hill Descent Control, which should make tackling steep grades even easier. It also comes equipped with GMC’s trick tailgate, for those who need a tailgate to double as a load stop and a step ladder.
We don’t yet know how much this package will add to the standard Sierra’s MSRP, but if we look at the 2018 GMC Sierra’s All-Terrain package we can get a rough idea. Currently, the All-Terrain package for the Sierra will set you back $2,670, which we imagine will only go up for the AT4. The folks at GMC also noted that AT4 will find its way across the GMC product line over the next two years.
