Electric Mercedes-Benz Citaro Buses taking over Europe

Electrification of the German flagship suggests that soon there will be hundreds, if not thousands, of sales in Europe.

Mercedes-Benz Citaro is one of the most popular buses in the world with more than 50,000 copies sold.

Mercedes-Benz managed to sell 20 Citaro Electric buses to long-time customer Hamburger Hochbahn from Hamburg.

By 2020, the company intends to procure emission-free buses only.

Head of Daimler Buses:

“The first major order for our fully electrically powered, emission-free Citaro has been received even before the official premiere, demonstrating the confidence transport operators have in our concept for electromobility in urban public transport. With the Citaro, we are bringing a major component on the way to locally emission-free bus traffic to market.”

Europe has plans to improve environment and public transport, soon we could had have drive in electric bus only. We hope that.

Mercedes‑Benz Citaro city buses also roll on the streets of Riyadh (Saudi Public Transport Company).
