First Electric Automated Container Transporter Enters Service

Container transport becomes another blue ocean for electrification as there are so many diesels to replace. But we hope, because big changes are coming.

German HHLA (Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG) after initial tests just received the first series-produced all-electric automated guided container transporter for its Container Terminal Altenwerder (CTA).

HHLA ordered last year 25 AGV Lithium-Ion and expects that will replace entire fleet of almost 100 vehicles by the end of 2022.
