Audi showed a sneak peak photo today on which you can see the outline of the new A7 and announcing a full reveal at the end of this week. As you can see, though, the new A7 sticks closely to the look of the current car. Then again, considering Audi’s evolutionary approach to car design over the last decade, that’s pretty much expected.
October 19 Audi officially reveals the new A7
Audi’s been tight-lipped about details, but expect the new A7 to borrow at least a few design cues from the recently introduced A8, only in a smaller, swoopier package. It should also preview much of what to expect from the upcoming redesigned A6. S and RS versions should follow shortly.
Generally, we love both of the A7 and its A6 sedan sibling. They’re quick and comfortable, with attractive cabins that use high-end materials. But having already driven the redesigned Mercedes-Benz CLS prototype, it’s clear that the A7 will have some serious competition. Plus, there’s always the new 6 Series Gran Turismo to consider for those “who dare to be different.”
Look for more information on Thursday, October 19, when Audi officially reveals the new A7. And for those who are interested, Audi says it will announce it beginning at 7:00 pm local time, which would be 1:00 pm Eastern Standard Time.
