The 6-Series GT is a new name and redesign for BMW 5-Series GT

All the people see Gran Turismo in a different way. And if you weren’t too strong on the 5-Series GT, BMW hopes you will like it same as the 6-Series GT. That’s right: BMWBlog says that the 5-Series’ twin brother will have a name changed. It has also redesign of exterior. Beacuse of that it seems a bit more similar to liftback coupe and a little less like a Toyota Venza.

The 6-Series GT will now be mistaken with both the 6-Series Gran Coupe and the BMW X6

It’s hardly believed that to The 5-Series GT has been given the moderate number that  we’ve seen in traffic around since 2009. The model is indebted for a total redesign rather than a refresh. As bonus, the 6-Series GT will now be mistaken with both the 6-Series Gran Coupe and the BMW X6.

In gasoline form, customers can look forward to the 630i, 640i and the M650i xDrive, as BMWBlog says. Customers in other markets will also be able to pick one of diesel models. That includes the 620d, 630d and M650d xDrive. It will be powered by the new quad-turbo diesel engine that is coming up this spring. The range-topping gasoline engine will be, in the meantime, the 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 found in the BMW lineup. It includes in the new M550i xDrive. They didn’t confirm yet hybrid powerplants for 6-Series GT for now.

The 5-Series GT will do better as a 6-Series, but sit seems that the model had a weak connection to the 5-Series range. Longtime BMW owners more likely want to see as a sedan/wagon range. The real dare is staying clear of the BMW X6, which was already too close in packaging to the current 5-Series GT, we assume.

For more about 6-Series GT that is coming in 2018. stay tuned and read our blog.
