2018 Mazda MX-5 Miata gains dark red soft top option and new Recaro package
Everybody’s favorite little roadster is receiving a few new options for the 2018 model year. The current Brembo/BBS package for the Mazda MX-5 Club trim was already nice, but now you’ll have the option of ticking the box on a Brembo/BBS Recaro package. This nets you some heated Recaro sport seats in addition to the previously available Brembo brakes and BBS wheels. It’s only available with the six-speed manual and will cost $4,470 versus the $3,770 Brembo/BBS package sans Recaros.
The base MX-5 Sport also gets a 7-inch infotainment system as standard equipment
The base MX-5 Sport also gains a 7-inch infotainment system as standard equipment for 2018…along with a slight price increase of $395 over the 2017 model – not bad considering you had to step up to the Club trim at $29,675 to get the same infotainment system before.
You’ll start to see 2018 models roll into dealers in January – just in time for the greater north to be totally covered in snow.
