Hyundai has presented in teasers his redesigned smaller vehicle, the 2018 Accent. The teaser photos show a small vehicle with a more sophisticated outside design that’s evocative of  Hyundai sedans now. Much of the Accent’s outside design, like the bigger Elantra and Sonata, seem evolutionary, specially from the part where the car’s silhouette looks alike to the model at the moment.

What makes the biggest difference is the front fascia where the Accent gets a similar grille found in the newest Elantra sedan with totally new design and headlights that are a just a bit more hunker comparing to the curvier ones that are found in the current vehicle. LED strips in the headlight clusters and LED taillights show that the 2018 Accent will be a bit more up than on the vehicle it will come as a replace.

More usual features such as a rearview camera will be also available together with navigation

Even though it’s been presented as a sedan, buyers should expect a hatchback body style that is joining the 2018 Accent lineup for the North American market. Hyundai’s newest technologies with its updated Bluelink telematics system will be available together with the latest multimedia interface having Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility. More usual features such as a rearview camera will be also available together with navigation.

It owns the current 1.6-liter I-4 could that may carry over paired to either a manual or automatic transmission. It’s also may be that the Elantra Eco’s 1.4-liter turbo-four and seven-speed twin-utch automatic will be put instead of the 1.6-liter in the 2018 Accent.

The 2018 Hyundai Accent will be officially presented at the 2017 Toronto auto show on February 16. It is expected to be on sale at the middle or even the end of this year.
