2017 Audi R8 V10 Plus Gets Frickin’ Lasers
Audi R8 gets laser light! It is raging us now with an exclusive edition of the 2017 R8 V10 plus, that features…laser lights. Yes, it’s the first time that U.S. has such a technology in the.
Now, good guys like Tony Stark and super baddies like Dr. Evil can both have matching over the top sports cars.
The exclusive edition of 25 R8s will have full LED headlights with a laser high beam module. The latest light tech will first show up at the Los Angeles auto show in November.
As Audi says, “Each headlight contains one laser module that operates with four, high intensity laser diodes. Each module bundles these diodes into a blue laser beam with a wavelength of 450 nanometers. A phosphor converter then transforms the blue laser beam into a very bright and pure white light.”
In the promo video by Audi it looks so cool. Although it has the signature blue light of the laser headlights, the laser ray pattern runs when the special edition R8 is going at least 40 mph. The laser rays add the LED high beam and projects a low and loose beam of light on the road in front.
The special edition R8 also gets an exclusive Quantum Gray paint job
The special edition R8 also gets an exclusive Quantum Gray paint job. It’s a titanium black-optic outside package, 20-inch wheels in a high-gloss “coal” finish and gloss anthracite (coal) front grille.
Other recognizable options on the radical R8 involve a Solar Orange vertical lineon its iconic carbon blade on the side. There are also same vertical orange leather parts in the inside and on the steering wheel.
Also, if that still isn’t making your Audi highlights from the rest oin the pack, the exclusive Alcantara is coming with diamond sewing. How effete.
Audi says the 25 exclusive edition vehicles will sell for $229,200. It is likely best to order your car now since they will probably sell out pretty fast.
Maybe one day they will be worth ….ONE MILLION DOLLARS….or not…who knows. We’ll see.
